The Quarrel of the Feelings

The Feelings are having a quarrel amongst themselves. If you want to know what they're quarreling about, jump into today's post. Happy: I am the best, you know, because most of the time I'm in everybody.   Sad: Waaahhhhhhh!!!!! You always tease me, because you hate me. But my people never do, they love me. My usage by them is 100% popular. You don't know! Angry: Just stay quiet! You all know one man who is best at winning over people, and his power is shouting, and you know him! He's talking now.... Excitement: You all known one popular but rare leader.... And that leader is Excitement! Excitement is the new favorite of all. And I'm essential in all places. Funny: Who said you're not essential? But I am more essential then anyone. I bring happiness, which everyone likes. Happy: So Funny agrees that everyone likes me the most, so I'm the best! Funny: But I'm the one who brings you, so I am quite preferable by all. Jealousy: I'm in all people, the ...

Let's harvest the festival

Happy Pongal! (And belated Lohri wishes) On this day, Pongal, we boil Milk, and shout; 'Pongalo Pongal' when the milk tends to boil. This year, we're going to my cousin's house to spend our festival time - well, we do that for every festival, every year; either we go or they come. We make delicious sweets - like in all festivals. Like, poli, Vada, payasam, kesari and much more. What's your Harvest Treat? May I know? In the northern part of India, the celebrate the festival a day before the Pongal festival, and call it Lohri or Maghi. In South India, the day before Pongal is celebrated as Bhogi, when we burn unwanted thoughts. And the day after Pongal; we celebrate Kanu, the day when we pray to God that our Brothers and Sisters must be happy and roll balls of varities of rice. Well, how do you Harvest Your Festival? May I know? And.... Happy Pongal! Kanu in advance and; and belated Lohri and Bhogi wishes! Stay tuned in for  festival-tastic posts!

Happy Birthday Samhitha!🙂❤️😊☺️

I do have many cousins, brothers sisters, but actually, I also have favourite ones. Wondering who my favourite one is?☺ Let's look into this post for more details... You may know her. She's my closest cousin, she also has an elder brother. I can't hear you, but I know that you're getting closer! She's also a GSB member... Her b'day stands today, on January 10th. She is also my closest cousin sister. Shripradhaa loves her more than me, but actually I am the one who shouts in joy when I meet her! My Mirror

A mirror reflects anything and everything, but do you think humans can reflect anything? Well, I say that humans don't reflect everything, but a human can reflect us!  Do you get the point?  Of course! Our siblings do reflect us - they copy whatever we do. That's simple.  And speaking about siblings reflecting us - why don't we speak about MY Mirror? I have a unique mirror. That mirror is indeed my own sibling, Shripu. You may know Shripu, and I have described her as a cute baby. But her name isn't Shripu, her name is Shripradhaa. She is my own sister, 6 years younger to me (now 3 years old). As you can see, I was happy when I  was the only child, I can be as I want, and especially spend much time with my parents. But after Shripu was born, there were many hard rules, like I shouldn't enter the room while she's sleeping, as she might wake up. It seemed as if she'll wake up for even soft creaks! And the worst thing is that I can't watch TV with the volu...

Why do we have various emotions?

I have a question in mind. Why do we have various emotions?  If you ask me, I would simply say that it's god's creation. God's creation? It is true, but if this same question is for a scientist, there would always be an answer. We have been rewarded with various emotions to express our feelings and thoughts easily. For example, you have won the race. Your friend is looking at your face. He notices a slight change in the look, from how it was before.  Before you won, your lips were down, your eyebrows were normal. After you won, your lips were up with joy, and your eyebrows were in a different position.  Different people have different ways of how they express their feelings. When angry, some cross hands, some pout, some shout, and some even remain silent.  So the point I am trying to say is that emotions are for us to express our feelings using ACTIONS, and not WORDS. It's an easier way to express feelings when we have emotions.  The common emotions are: ...

The New Year

Are you all ready to welcome the New Year? The former year was fully abandoned by Corona, and when the year was at its end, the others thought that 2021 would be the same as the old years, the ones before 2020. But 2021 was even worse. 2020 corona started from March, atleast there were 2 months to spend without Corona's involvement. As it started on 2020 March, it continued till the end of the new year, 2021. Hopefully, this silly virus will leave our land and restore peacefulness. Talking about the new year, why don't we read something about the New Year? The New Year will be here soon, We have to dress decently,  And clean up the messes, Time to feel happy! But oh dear! There's still one more fear, Corona Monster is still here! Let's wash, wash, wash,  Wash our hands! Maintain, maintain, Social distancing, yeah! To keep away the enemy, Enemy, enemy,  We have to be good,  Hee, hee, hee! Try to avoid roaming outside, To prevent Corona, When you sanitize, and wash you...

Finally!!!

Finally! After 1 and a half years, we are allowed to say hello to our dear friends and teachers! Guess what, I went to school today! It's 1 and a half years since I went to my beloved school.  I'd like to share with you what it was like at school. First, let's just talk about the past. You know how fun it was those days? We don't even have to care about social distancing, colds or fever.  We just enjoy our time. I wondered if I could put the activities that happened in school into words. And that too, I'm going to write about what happened today. I was late. But when I reached the actual atmosphere of school, I saw 3 men in front of me. The first man checked my temperature and the other one sanitized my hands. The last man guided me inside. There was a woman who guided me to my class, 4D.  As I entered, I saw my teacher writing on the Smart Board with her stylus. She ordered me to sit behind a boy. No one was behind me. I saw my best friends. I was sitting in the mi...

A Moral to Learn

Cutie was a cute girl who lived in Happy ville. She was so talented - knew a lot about arts, music, photograph, cooking, dancing, sports, etc. She  won many prizes in arts, photograph, cooking and sports, but very less in music and dance. It was all because of the fear stuck with her. A new singing competition was around the corner, and Cutie was very eager about that. She rocked while she sang the song she had chosen to her mom. Her voice rose where it was supposed to and it smoothened when it was asked to. She was better than anyone. She clapped her hands joyfully. She listened to music while she has free time. Her mind was so attached to music. She grabbed her voice and started to sing every time she heard her sister, Beauty play the flute. Days passed and Cutie continued to rock while she sang. The day before the competition, Cutie took leave of all her teachers and set her mind only to singing. She corrected the small mistakes hidden there and it was perfect. "Nothing el...

When I look at the starry sky.....

When I look at the starry night sky......  I feel I am in the real, vast space. I feel I am really near a real scorpion when I look at the constellation, scorpius. I feel the ISS {International Space Station} is coming to take pictures of my house. I feel an invisible black hole is above my head. I can see the planets, their true form, their true colours, and also their orbits. I can feel the earth's true form, with colours, and also the sphere shape, all around.  I think that I am flying up in the sky! I can see the smile of the moon. I can see myself in the sky. I can see planets on the ground, after I look at the sky for 1 hour. I feel all of us are flying towards the black hole.  I feel the real form of space. You should all try to look at the night sky. It's really mystreous, and amazing, really, really interesting! When I grow up, I'll definetly become an austronaut!! I'll also send a robot and see if it comes out of the black hole {something which a scientist has...

The place nobody knew

There are many places in earth. I know most of the places in America, but my favourite places are in India. But not all places have been discovered. Some are still hidden. They cannot be seen. But I just discovered a new place... An interesting one.... Very beautiful.... What place could it be? It was a beautiful, enchanted place. Teh first thing I saw was a welcome arch. With beautiful flowers on it, lots and lots of flowers covered on the grills, many rabbits, butterflies and puppies jumping and flying, and also, there were bushes covered with flowers next to the arch.  Next, comes the dead end, covered with various types of flowers. Jasmine, Lavender, Rose and Blue Bells. Many other wild flowers were also swinging on the bushes.  Next, when we turn right, comes a beautiful water fall, singing the regular splish splash song. There was a pit, it which the water fell. There were many fishes swimming in there. A giant gold fish jumped up! It was so beautiful! I wish I could bat...

Cycling without balance wheels

Every day, I go to the terrace to play. I love to ride my bicycle. It is pink in colour, and it can also sing songs. It has a place at the back were we can stick a picture of us. It has a Dicky, and a basket. It also has lights. It has a cute little bell. It also has a mirror. One day, as I unlocked my bicycle, I was very curious to know why dad came up with his screwdriver and a cutting player. I didn't care. I just rode my bicycle. But dad stopped me. He asked me to get off. He adjusted my seat, and took off the balance wheels! I was surprised! But nervous too. What if I fall? Dad held onto my bicycle, and I rode it. He held it, because I'll fall, it's just the first time, right? I enjoyed. But dad had to do some work. I started to feel bored. I tried to ride myself. But I fell down. I went back home.  The next day, I rushed up, and tried to ride myself. And I did! Everybody were surprised! I went round and round the terrace. It was really fun! I got the hang of it!  I go...

Narasimha Jayanthi

Today is Narasimha Jayanthi, Lord Narasimha's birthday.  Once upon a time, there lived a king named Hiranyaksha. One day, he hid Goddes Boomadevi down under water. Boomadevi went crying to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu then took the Avataram of Varaha. Varaha killed Hiranyaksha and brought goddes Boomadevi back to her place. Hiranyaksha's younger brother, Hiranyakashipu, heard what Vishnu had done, and was filled with anger. He then meditated on Lord Bramha. After few days, Lord Bramha appeared and asked, "What do you want?" Hiranyakashipu replied, "I should never die." "No, that cannot be given. Everybody who is born has to die." Replied Bramha. Hiranyakashipu then said, "I shouldn't be killed by weapons, bow and arrows or maces. I shouldn't be killed by man, insect or animals. I shouldn't be killed in, out or up the house or any other place.  I shouldn't be killed in morning, afternoon, evening or in the night." Bramha gran...

Proverbs

Hello friends,  Have you all heard about proverbs? They are called "Pazhamozhi" in Tamil. Stating a general truth or peace of advice is called proverbs. Now, I will tell some of my favourite proverbs, A to Z. Art is not a thing; it is a way. Belief is relief. Come rain, come shine. Do the likeliest and God will do the best. Everything has got a use. Friendship is a plant which must be often watered. Good and quick seldom meet. Half a tale is enough for a wise man. In the eye, lives nature of mind. Joy and sorrow are next door neighbours. Kindness is never wasted. Laughter is the best medicine. Man proposes God disposes. Nature hates sudden changes. One cloud is enough to eclipse all the sun. Patience is the art of hoping. Quiet sleep feels no foul weather. Riches have wings. Silence is golden. There is no royal road to learning. Union is strength. Variety is the spice of life. Welcome is the best cheer. Youth glitters. Zest without knowledge is fire without light. Bye!! Sen...

King Parikshit - Bagavatam

Hi, I am reading a Bhagavatam book. I'd like to share with you some of the stories from Bhagavatam.  Parikshit was the son of Abimanyu. Parikshit became the king. One day, Parikshit went hunting and saw a sage meditating. He asked him if he wanted some fruits and flowers. But the sage did not reply. So, Parikshit put a dead snake around the sage's neck and left. The sage's son was very angry to see a dead snake around his father's neck. He said, "Who ever has put this dead snake around my father's neck will be bitten by the snake Takshaka and will die in a week." The sage immediately opened his eyes and said to his son, "You fool! Whom you've cursed is the great king Parikshit who took care of our country very well. Who will do a job like that?" Then, king Parikshit heard about the curse and was very sad. Everybody gathered around him. A wise Rishi called Shukadeva passed by and saw this. He then told the story of the Bhagavata.

Happy Diwali

Happy Diwal! Today is diwali. Why do we celebrate diwali? In north India, they celebrate diwali because lord Rama came back from 14 years exile. And in South India...... A long time ago, there was an evil rakshasa, son of Krishna and Satya bhama, who was called Narakasura. He defeated everybody, and nobody can win a battle with him. One day, everyone rushed to lord Krishna and cried for help. Lord Krishna agreed and took Satya bhama with him. Krishna and Satya bhama finally defeated Narakasura and lived happily ever after. And such big story, that's why we celebrate Deepavali. At evening, we do special Gubera Lakshmi Pooja. Next day we count the coins and keep them away. Nov 14th Deepavali, let's all celebrate it happily!!
