Hello friends, 

Have you all heard about proverbs?

They are called "Pazhamozhi" in Tamil.

Stating a general truth or peace of advice is called proverbs.

Now, I will tell some of my favourite proverbs, A to Z.


Art is not a thing; it is a way.

Belief is relief.

Come rain, come shine.

Do the likeliest and God will do the best.

Everything has got a use.

Friendship is a plant which must be often watered.

Good and quick seldom meet.

Half a tale is enough for a wise man.

In the eye, lives nature of mind.

Joy and sorrow are next door neighbours.

Kindness is never wasted.

Laughter is the best medicine.

Man proposes God disposes.

Nature hates sudden changes.

One cloud is enough to eclipse all the sun.

Patience is the art of hoping.

Quiet sleep feels no foul weather.

Riches have wings.

Silence is golden.

There is no royal road to learning.

Union is strength.

Variety is the spice of life.

Welcome is the best cheer.

Youth glitters.

Zest without knowledge is fire without light.

So Close, Yet So Far

  What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. You know what they say, "Practice makes Perfect"?  You know how they say, "Let the past  Be the past"? You know how you feel Knowing something you're doing  Is not right, You know they're watching you ponder, You do, right?
