GSB - Chapter 5 & 6 - OMG!!! & Crafty Discussions

 OMG!!!

It’s April, I just finished my Abacus class, 8pm, Mom said that I was going to Samhitha’s new house! And that too, I was going to stay there for a week! I had to attend my online classes there. Peripa dropped me at KK nagar and I enjoyed the night. Next morning, we woke up at 6am! So excited! Soon, 10am, I attended school. We both soon ate and ate and ate and ate and we kept on eating for 1 hour! Then we got up and ran into a room. We then realized that there was a lot of crafting to be done before starting! So we became serious and started working.

                         Crafty Discussions

We finished drawing and it turned out to be very beautiful. We stuck it on the door of the green room, which is Samhitha’s room. We then started making a huge list of crafts. We were working till evening, and that’s when I got a call from mom. She said I was going to Umapathi street. Our jaws dropped! So all of this was just a fun game? It hasn’t been 1 day itself yet! But peripa dropped me at Umapathi street. I had to stay there. The next day, I was surprised to see Shripradhaa swinging on the swing! She also had to stay there with me. Some days passed, and Samhitha called me. We then made craft lists. Then, something was tingling in Samhitha’s mind. She asked, “Shall we make a logo and a planet? But we need a short form for our Secret Base.” I thought the short form could be GSB. Samhitha agreed. We started drawing some ideas in Keep Notes. My drawings startled my eyes. Samhitha loved them. We have created our logo and planet! Many days passed, I reached Rukmani street. Samhitha had drawn the logo and planet in a paper. We were very happy. But we needed a password for our GSB. I asked Samhitha to pick up a book which no one touched. But Samhitha didn’t have any book like that. So we started looking for nice password books in Amazon.

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
