The Secret of The Bounce

With each ounce of force you give,

It bounces higher and higher,

With each bounce a fall,

And each retraction a success to be recalled.

Even a miniscule ball, with a world a 100 times bigger,

Will try harder each time, to soar higher and higher.

If even an over-active, tiny ball can overcome failure,

Let me ask: why can't you too be a trier?

If you can get put out,

By the failure that puts you down,

You can easily spring back up,

Turn your frown upside down.

With each fail a trampoline,

With each hard fall an energetic pounce,

When your feet touch the ground,

Full of power, back up you bounce.

Failure is the biggest help,

You can get to reach success.

Because each time it drops you down,

It boosts your desperation, bringing it to excess.

And with that excess desperation,

You might want to try harder.

With better resources and mindsets the next time,

Higher up you'll fly, you'll reach farther.

See, you learn from your mistakes,

You don't let them discourage you,

With the bouncing balls of your feet,

Make stories of your success come true.

And in the end, an important note:

I'll give you one secret to success, just see,

I know it's true, and my brain said and I quote:

"Success wants your self-belief."

  2. Babyyy!!! What a beautiful parallel you’ve drawn between a bouncing ball and a human !!! Amazing ! This goes to show your broad outlook and the perceptiveness to be able to draw inspiration from something as mundane as a bouncing ball, and be able to tie it to such a beautiful message! I am in awe of your thoughts, kanna!!
Unlike a ball which , on hitting the ground every time , loses a bit of its energy and thus the height either every bounce , humans usually bounce back with twice the energy , twice the grit and twice the determination . Any person who is able to do this, has definitely understood the mantra for success! It is very heartening to see that at a young age of 11 , you have understood this secret sauce to the recipe of success !!
Loads of love to you kanna!! ❤️ ❤️

  3. Fine. Your write up is very good . Any Failure will upset everyone. But you have taken it in a positive manner and gave a beautiful poem to take the failure as a stepping stone which will help us to achieve sucess. Nice use of words. Bouncing ball is a great idea. Let your positive Ball bounce with full energy and continue to bounces to achieve great heights of success

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
