They might be dark and scary,
But very important to us.
Sometimes blurred and glary,
Sometimes sharp and thus,
They indicate the presence,
Of a mere figure by.
They indicate the actions,
Like talk, jump or cry.
They follow you around,
In a picture neatly traced,
The traced picture is no one but,
Your very own face.
With the rest of you of course,
They come out of the outward door,
Of the "Object and Light" merge place,
At a high pace.
They sometimes don't appear,
For they have fear,
Towards the great transparent objects.
They dare not emit shadows.
They keep the doors closed,
Shadows are restricted from that door.
Only dear light is allowed to go,
These transparents at this are a pro.
Translucents only allow a selected few,
And they form around it shadowy dews.
Opaque allows all the shadows,
Disclosing the light alone.
Bright light is emitted by transparent,
Mild light by translucent.
Absolutely no light by Opaque the Great,
But when will shadows meet fate?
Fate of the day happens at night,
The time dreaded by all shadows.
There is no light, there is no might,
There are no shadows either!
There is only darkness which we all dread,
It discloses both light and shadows.
So evil and unjust it is!
But day's mind is never so narrow.
Day is thoughtful, and heartfelt,
It allows both light and shadow to pass.
We enjoy day, we spend day,
We like to twist and turn and toss.
Shadows are friends of Translucent and Opaque,
....but what if shadows were fake?
They can't be, they are natural, you see,
....so they surely can't me manmade.
