probability

 It can happen, or it can't.

It will happen, or it won't.

But it might happen, or it might not.

It certainly would, or it certainly wouldn't.

It possibly could, or it possibly couldn't.

It is possible, or it is impossible.

Probability.

It's like looking for the certain amongst the uncertainty,

The art of hoping, without knowing.

The art of waiting for an answer, unsure of whether it would arrive;

But each moment a beacon for the possibility that it might.

It's like staring up at the sky, knowing that

Amongst a million stars, one might be yours

A reminder from the universe that what is unlikely to happen

Isn't impossible.

Like a thousand doors, none guaranteed to open,

But each holding the promise of something unexpected.

Probability is

Dreaming, calculating

What could happen.

It's assurance that it's sometimes okay

To let yourself wander in the vague future.

What-ifs and whatnaughts.

Chasing dreams, hopes, not knowing

If you would catch them

But knowing that

There's always a different world behind each door.

And each action sets off a chain of its own,

For all you know, the probability of yourself -

Branched off elsewhere;

It's you, but it's not;

Having everything you don't have, has everything you do,

Living the life you think is too good to be true,

Is certain.

Thunder & Lightning

Lightning is that which intimidates,  But thunder is that which wishes  To follow lightning.  That is to say,  Thunder follows lightning's path,  But reaches a different destination.  But thunder can be far more intimidating -  You don't need to see it to believe it.  But aren't we told to not blindly believe  Whatever we hear?  For all we know, the "thunder" we heard,  Could just be the bark of a very large dog.  But lightning is something we see - But can we believe everything we see?  Perhaps the lightning is just  The lights, somewhere in the sky  Fluctuating.  But if we can't rely on thunder  Or lightning  What if they're both played together?  Though thunder always follows,  Never leads or walks beside,  Surely, we can believe  If we see it, and hear it.  But how great could the coincidences be?  No, to believe it, you must feel it -  And not just a mere ink...

true friend

  The rain fell from the sky,  Drenching all of us together.  I held the umbrella, waiting for them to join, They took it, and went away.  One or two of them turned to thank me,  But none of them stayed and asked me to join. I stood rooted to the spot, staring at the puddles,  Staring at my reflection, wavered by ripples. Raindrops or tears? I didn't know,  But I knew they'd left me all alone.  The sun, blazing in the sky,  I sit under a tree, hiding in the shade,  And they all come to me,  Sit beside me, sweet talk me,  Slowly push me away.  Until they're all crowded together,  Laughing merrily as I stare;  Left under the burning sun, back on fire,  Sweat or tears? I didn't know,  But I knew I didn't want to be right there.  The sky was beautiful, the sunset painting a scenery,  As I watched from the balcony, eyes wide with surprise.  And they all came to me, fooled me with charm, As yet...

Happy New Year!

Hello, 2026,  What do you have for us?  We're all optimistic -  And we're almost experienced. I'm ready for the long list of resolutions  That will either last a week or fade away. I've met your predecessors -  Big titles, a promising index  But the font becomes smaller and less denser  As the pages turn.  And I hope that this time,  The chaos is funny  The change is useful  The evolution is forwards. You don't need to be perfect -  We just need enough light to find Our lost things Ourselves And our people.  Without panic.  But anyways, I'll try again -  A new journal, new diary,  New planner, a neater handwriting -  It wouldn't hurt to try, even if I might fail. But make sure to knock first  Before barging in - I prefer a slow fade in  Rather than a flash.  And however it goes,  Please give us a good story,  Lots of happy memories,  And the best of friends.  Dear 2026...
