S Scientists - Chapter 14

A Call From an Unknown - Chapter 14

Saketh and the team whiled away time by talking about how to defend Hi Ho and other such stuff. Saketh felt tired and slept off just like that. The girls also slept beside him, until Saketh's phone's ringtone woke them up. Saketh was surprised to see an unknown contact calling him. Why would someone need to do that?

Saketh was flushed after he heard the evil voice of Hi Ho, "Ha ha ha! Hello, S Team! Surprised I caught you? Yes, I'm Hi Ho. I tracked you all the while. I saw you browse about me in your special tablet, prepare the Corona Medicine and fail, book a flight to Delhi, trying to give away my plans to the C.M of Delhi, but all of these plans of yours actually failed because of me. You never found out, did you? I was the one who actually took the C.M to Shimla, knowing that you were going to pay a visit."

"And what did you actually do there?" Asked Saketh, growing anger.

"Well, I showed him my few famous experiments, of course. You just have to be as smart as me!"

"We have fixed our mistake by re-inventing the medicine, so you'll not be in the same place for long,"

"Haven't you realised that I made it before you? It has already been sent to the President and he has highly appreciated me. You're not checking the news, are you? And many of the people are planning to throw a party tomorrow. I just called to invite you. Wish me luck, please,"

"You won't get away with this, Hi Ho!"

"Let's see about that."

Saketh cut the call angrily, but remained quiet. "Who was it? What took you so long?" Asked Shreya, guessing Saketh was really, very angry. "Hi Ho," He said. Everyone gasped. Suddenly, Saketh received a message from an unknown number. It was Hi Ho again. He had sent a party invite. Saketh saved his number as 'Hi Ho the Enemy'. The S Team started making big plans about how to win back their place and save the trees from Hi Ho.

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
