A wonderful day at the wonderful beach

A wonderful day at the beach!

So many things to see,

We have come here to relax and play,

And enjoy our day.

I can see a ball, rolling along the shore,

I can see a man, opening the restroom door,

I can see the waves, splash some more,

Oh it's such a lovely day.

I can see a crab, walking sideways,

I can see a kid, enjoying her day,

I can see my sister, wanting to play,

Oh it's such a lovely day.

The icecream cart rolls over to me,

And I order the man to give chocolate iceream,

I licked and licked and licked till it was gone,

I wished we could stay there till the dawn!

I can see a tramp looking around,

I can see a dog, licking the ground,

I can see men swimming around,

And we finally have escaped from being house-bound.

I build a sand castle,

Oh so big!

But sadly, it gets washed away,

But never mind! That's the fun,

And we play and play till the sun is down.

Bye bye ball, rolling on the shore,

Bye bye man, opening the restroom door,

Bye bye waves, splashing some more,

Bye bye crab, walking sideways,

Bye bye kid, enjoying her day,

Bye bye cart, rolling over to me,

Bye bye tramp,

Bye bye dog,

Bye bye men,

Let's jog, jog, jog,

Into the car we go,

And get ready to leave,

Bye bye sea,

Bye bye beach.

Behind The Mask

Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Laughter and Smiles

Are you feeling sad,  Are you feeling low? Do you wish to fly like a bird, But can't do so? Do you wish to swim like a dolphin, But can't do it just yet? Do you wish to be free of worries, But your unbreakable bond with it is set? Are you surrounded by shadows, That smother you till you drop? Are you getting pulled into a black hole, Your worries eat you, and you can't stop? Or perhaps you're scared, Of the dark and doom surrounding you, You feel like it's closing in,   And there's nothing you can do. You're lost in a land of confusion,  Where things are tangled together, Just like your poor mind, Which is in a messy weather. But let me tell you what to do, To beat up all your worries, There's no problem that can't be undone, We'll chase it all away in a flurry. Has it been weeks, Since your lips curled into a smile? Has it been weeks,  Since you used to laugh all the while? Why, you can do it now too! Does there have to be a reason to smile? B...
