Lucid Dreams

 A place 

Where you can have all you want 

A place 

Where you are who you want to be 

A place, where the future is lucid 

Because the future is in your control 

A place where life is a video game 

And you have admin power.

Dive deep into your thoughts,

Your fancies, your wants and wishes

But not too far, or 

You'll drown.

And when it's past your dreams, 

When your dreams are over -

You're back in life - 

What it all really is. 

Not everything is in your control. 

Not everything is as lucid. 

Your dream was in your life. 

But is your life a dream? 

Or is your dream your life? 

Is life even a thing? 

Or is it just dreams - 

Or is it just life? 

Or is it all a hologram 

Inside which we are trapped - 

No life, no dream?

So Close, Yet So Far

  What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You know what they say, "Practice makes Perfect"?  You know how they say, "Let the past  Be the past"? You know how you feel Knowing something you're doing  Is not right, You know they're watching you ponder, You do, right? They stay around you, you meet them, see them Everyday, They can give glowing smiles, or uncanny looks Depending on the aura around you - Wherever you are, they are there  They are there everywhere.
