Harry Potter: The Brave or The Blockhead?

"The Boy Who Lived", as they say,

Why was Harry Potter the prey?

And how did he survive his predator?

Are the secrets known, or are still undercover?

Harry Potter, the "valiant", the "brave",

How many people did he actually save?

Was he even really that significant?

Or was he just someone with unwise exuberance?

He was one with courage, I'd agree, of course,

But I'll tell you why he's not in Ravenclaw,

He's filled with nonsensical mindsets,

And dangerous ideas that can make one fret.

Was he as powerful as we were told he was?

I believe it's not real and thus,

I shall conclude that Harry Potter, however,

Is not the figure we all imagine.

But let me stop you right here,

Before you threaten me to boot me with fear,

Harry Potter was famous not because of his power,

But the protection from his mother, just an extra layer.

But Harry Potter was a daredevil, venturous boy,

He showcased personalities none could show or tell,

And he won victory against Voldemort's ploys,

He didn't murder him; but reversed Voldy's spell.

So in the end, in the actual conclusion,

Harry Potter was doughty and gallant,

But Harry Potter will, always, be,

The most unwise, rash yet a person who is valiant.

  6. Awwww!! You broke my heart with this poem , Shriyan!! 💔 let me see if I can make you see things a little differently!

In chemistry , there’s a concept of ‘activation energy’. You take any chemical reaction , for any changes to start occurring, Activation Energy needs to be provided. In case of photosynthesis , it is the sunlight; in some cases you have to manually stir the reactants in order for them to move and break the bonds they have and thereby start reacting. True, Harry did take loads of help from people at various junctures, but what he did was - provide the ‘activation energy’ to bring about a change. He seeded the ideas directly or indirectly in most cases for people to then build upon and take care of the execution part. That was his core strength. In a few cases , even constantly lamenting about a few things worked out as the initial seeding to set things in motion!

It is very good to see that you are able to bring forth a point after reading the story, assimilating it and then forming your own conclusion! That is the process that kick starts thought leadership in people ! You are sure to go places da kanna!

    Loads of love to you!!

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
