Best Friends

 Dear Best Friend...

I can't laugh without U,

I can't have fun without U,

I can't understand anything without U,

And that's why in life I need you too.

You can't smile without I,

You can't sing without I,

You can't imagine anything without I,

And that's why in life you need me to reach the

Sky.

When you're the sun, I'm the moon,

When you're one, I'm two

When you're the ground, I'm the sky,

You're never low, both of us stay high.

Without me, there isn't a you,

Without you, there isn't a me,

Like, without one, there isn't a two,

And without one or two, there isn't a three.

When I can't fly,

You'll bring me the sky,

When you can't swim,

I'll bring you fins.

There's always a forever,

And never a never,

When it comes to best friends,

And we'll always love each other.

  2. Shriyannn!! You’ve aptly described the essence of friendship and the importance of friends in our lives. Friends are pretty much the people that you choose for yourself to walk alongside you in your journey of life. I read a very beautiful quote about friendship once ,’A friend is someone who knows the song of your life , and sings it for you when you’ve forgotten the words’. Some friendships just happen, with no rhyme or reason but they turn out to be some of the most cherished relationships in our lives.
May you be abundantly blessed with a horde of true, meaningful and soul-filling friendships all through your life , kanna kutty!!

  3. ''Friend in need is a friend in need" that is a proverb. That has been beautifully and poetically brought by you. You are imaginative skill is excellent. Keep it. Friendship is a ship that sails all the day. Keep your friends happy all the day.

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
