Earth Day

 


We live in this blessed World, which has everything we need - adequate space, beautiful greenery, spacious land, etc. We do not suffer anything in this land. But have we thought - if we don't suffer, will the land suffer?


Earth day is celebrated to spread awareness of the protection of Earth's natural resources. But we don't even seem to care, do we? 


We are taking advantage of Earth, which is giving everything we ask for. In return, what do we give? Either nothing, or pollution. People enjoy life because Earth has many trees and plants that give us oxygen. But, yet again, we selfish people only wish for more and only cut down the trees for making stuff such as paper and furniture.


Earth has beautiful sceneries such as mountain views and lakes and other water bodies. But what do we do to the water bodies? Yet again, pollute. We bathe in pure water and dirty it. We wash unclean clothes and pollute it. The atmosphere is  being hurt  by   the thick smoke emitted from factories and the crackers that entertain us.


Instead if doing all this,   why can't   we be grateful to Earth? Let us plant more trees and make life even better.  Let us    not pollute water bodies; instead, let's purify them.   Let us not burst crackers often and let's find a better way to work and manifacture apart from working factories and smoke.


Let us save Earth!

Behind The Mask

  Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

Stars

  Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
