I Don't know The Heading To This!! (But it's very important though)

I don't know the heading to this post! But that doesn't matter. The outer cover of the post doesn't matter. But what it has inside does. Same way, our outer cover doesn't matter. Our behaviour, nature and our feeling do matter.

Everyone in school calls me short and makes fun of me. Infact, I am the shortest in class. I felt very upset. But I didn't let them get to me. Being short tells everyone who I really am. And I'm happy because of that. Imagine, everyone being the same. Will it be nice? No! So, why make fun of someone's personality?

Being short, tall, fat, skinny, brown, fair etc is your personality. Without it, you won't be yourself. But anyways, our outer cover never matters. Our behaviour and feelings and whatever is inside us does. Is our outer cover going to help or hurt anybody? Or shall I ask, is it even going to do anything? No, right? Only our behaviour does. So why do you have to even worry about it?

Being nice to one another and using kind words is what matters. And also, you can never judge someone with their appearance.

So never feel bad about your appearance. Being who you are and being a good person is what matters.  Don't let anyone misjudge it. Actions speak louder than appearance (words).

I Like The Way I Am 😊

  1. Super Shriyandhaa. Appearance is deceptive. Our behaviour is to be good. All that glitters are not gold. Our Beauty lies in the Heart and not in the appearance. Behaviour is to be good. God love those who are innocent and kind. Let us be innocent and kind to others. God makes man or woman. But Behaviour makes them Gentleman or Gentle Woman or Girl.

  12. Self acceptance is the first step towards a successful life. As you rightly put , our external appearances do not define us - it is what’s within that counts. I am very happy to see that you understand this at such a young age ; this will help you ward off peer pressure and body shaming which has sadly become very common in schools these days. Way to go, Shriyandhaa !! Keep writing !!

  20. God bless you.
God made us humans in His own image (Genesis 1:17-28 - Bible) so humiliating anyone based on appearance is the ultimate attack on God Himself.

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
