S Scientists - Chapter 12

 Chapter 12 - Let's Go to Chennai!

The next morning, the girls were bewildered to see Saketh packing Shreya's suitcase. "Good morning girls! How did you sleep last night? Well, we will be going back home today, and your suitcases are ready. The flight takes of by 2 o' clock in the afternoon, so no rush," Said Saketh, zipping up the final suitcase.

The girls ran into the bedroom, shutting the door behind them and got ready. "Alright, something really is wrong with this guy. Such a strange behaviour, as for Saketh of course, right?" Asked Samhitha, plating her hair. They soon rushed to the dining hall for breakfast, and were surprised to see that Saketh had already placed the plates on the table. The girls quietly, and quickly ate their breakfast.

Shripradhaa tried to speak but her mouth was shut by Shreya, as the gazed at Saketh doing the dishes, ironing the clothes, washing the clothes, sweeping the place and much more. Samhitha could hardly shut her mouth, but unfortunately, Shreya tore of a label and stuck it on Samhitha's mouth, Shripradhaa's and even on her's. Samhitha and Shripradhaa started talking with the label on their mouths, indistinctly.

After a while, by 12 o' clock, Shreya took a deep breath and spoke after many hours, to Saketh. "Saketh," she began, and just then Saketh's eye balls moved to Shreya's face. "I wonder what has got into you. You are behaving so weirdly, which makes me feel half bewildered, and half worried. Has something got into you?" Saketh's eye brows went crooked, and he asked curiously, "Why, what am I doing so weirdly to make you surprised and worried like that?" He seemed to have lost quarter of his sweet temper, but still was quite calm.

Shreya though that it would be better not to tell him, so lied. "Oh, I just thought that you seemed to sweat too much, but, uh, um, now, you look just fine!" She stammered. Saketh nodded and went back to acting weird. Shreya did mind, while the other two were joyfully playing video games. After one o' clock, they reached the airport and prepared for take off.

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Behind The Mask

Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
