Happy Children's Day!!

Children's Day, also Nehru's Birthday falls today. A great and jovial day for children. Let's look at the story by me.

Story

One day, July and May were walking past the roadside, where they saw a Vendor's snack shop, which had a sign: HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY. May wasn't sure if it was real. July grabbed May's hand to start the journey to their house with her.

Back at home, they Googled: CHILDREN'S DAY. And just what July expected: 14th OF NOVEMBER - NEHRU'S BIRTHDAY (CHILDREN'S DAY) turned up in the phone screen.

Every year, July and May would send postcards for Children's day, but this Children's Day seems so gloomy without July and May's postcards. July and May's cousins, April and June were eagerly waiting for the ringing of the Postman's cycle, but they received no sign of it.

What were July and May to do? No postcards, no stamps, no nothing left at their house. What are they going to do?

May suddenly reaches out to a paper and pencil. She crumpled her face and begins to think. She wrote down a few points.

July craned her neck to reveal the writing of May, but May seems to hide it. July gets frustrated, but before she could burst into anger and shout, May finishes and turns to her with a smile. The note read:

Items required for children's day postcard;

  • Envelope
  • Card
  • Nehru Stamp
  • Chumkis
  • Coloured papers
  • Glue
  • Crayons and Sketch pens
  • Crafty items
  • Glitter
This is all I think of. What are your ideas?

July smiled and both of them left for the shop.

"Envelope tick, Card tick, Nehru Stamp tick, Chumkis tick, Coloured papers tick, Glue tick, Crayons and Sketch Pens tick, Crafty items tick, Glitter tick, and---- Oh! All done! Let's get back home and start working on it!" Exclaims July, purchasing the items.

Back at home, when all work was done, May and July scratched their heads. "Will this crafty card reach before tomorrow?" Asks May. "Hopefully," Says July. But they suddenly start to think of cancelling the card delivery. So they planned to give all the cards away to their neighbors - March and August.

But that's when they saw an old man wearing a white hat and dress, smiling at them. Suddenly, July and May's face lit up. "Is that--- Jawaharlal Nehru?" said May, almost dropping the cards. July's jaws dropped. "Y-Yes! I-it's N-N-N-Nehru! I-I can h-hardly speak-k-k!!"

Nehru started to speak, "I shall deliver the cards before today's end, children! You can believe in me," Said Nehru, opening his bag. The children gave away their cards, waving to Nehru. Nehru disguised himself as the postman, and went in an old cycle; more like the postman's.

He said a few magical words - which duplicated the cards! The cards magically got delivered in all the houses of India. Even April and June received the cards!

And the phone rang at July's house.

"Oh wow, the cards are amazing!" Said April to July via call.

"Yes! Too good to be true! How did you make it?" Said June to July.

July and May were ashamed about forgetting this valuable day but happy to see Nehru.

"Now, before I leave kids, HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY TO THE GOLDEN CHILDREN ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!" Said Nehru lighting a whole bunch of Fire Crackers.

Bye bye friends!

Wishing you happy Children's Day,

We pray, Corona should go away.

Before we wave Bye, Let me say,

The Children are the ones to save the day!

HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!

Clouded

Every night, I bring myself  To stare up at the sky -  But turn back home, with a frown on my face, Clouds blocking stars, showing wry.  Every morning, I peek out the window  To marvel at the sea above - But turn away, losing hope,  Cotton figures, masking what I love.  Every time I see the clouds,  I curse them, with all might,  They don't deserve to be up there,  Ruining the bright days and starry nights.  And one day, the clouds finally went away,  And I stargazed in much peace.  But suddenly, the sky felt a bit empty -  Although dotted by the stars, without fake fleece. In the mornings, the sun burnt the pavements -  And something inside me missed watching  The white shapes that merrily float past -  I didn't realise they had much meaning.  Though much couldn't be seen, they brought A wholesome feeling - that you probably can't see -  You only can, when one day,  The clouds decide t...

Eclipsed

Moon:  I shine every night  Though, once a month, I take a break  But I'm seen regularly,  And it's not a big deal.  Few stop by  To marvel at me.  But what about the others -  Can they even see? And tonight is the night  A shadow shall be cast upon me  I hope no one notices -  My brief moments without glory.  Oh, but who am I kidding?  Of course, when I'm humiliated  In the vast night sky  Just me, and an eery shadow upon me  That  That is when the humans  Choose to gaze at me.  And then, to say I am weak And I'm always overruled by  The sun, and shadows, and clouds?  That is not fair.  But the truth that the moon does not know  Is that our little downfalls  Are what define us.  They're the little things that make us  Better - Perfection isn't a thing; but realism is.  Someone who is perfect cannot be likeable - But someone with flaws has more pe...

What it really feels like, being indecisive.

Let's get started.  Pick the next line:  You mean I need to choose?  You'll do just fine -  That is NOT true -  Whatever, pick the next -  I CANNOT DECIDE .  I mean why not?  That's my flawed side.  Oh, ambiguous, are we?  Sure, just pick a line for me. Is this turning into a poem?  It better be!  Why can't you decide on one answer?  What if one is better than the next?  Don't think too much about possible blunders -  That is exactly why I fret.  You can't not have an opinion -  But that's how it is.  You should really change -  It's not my fault I'm indecisive.  Think about it, I'm used to heat, but at the moment  I can use some cool But I can survive in the Sahara if I have to But I'll suffer in cold rooms, I might even solidify  But now, the heat is a bit hard to bear  But I'm afraid, the AC might get too extreme -  ALRIGHT, I understand, it's pretty hard to ...
