What is Earth?

The earth is a huge ball of rock which orbits the sun. We live on the planet Earth.

Earth is actually not a perfect ball. It is flat at the poles. 

The top part of the earth is called the Northern Hemisphere and the bottom is called the Southern Hemisphere. 

The coldest place on earth is Antarctica and the hottest place is the Sahara desert. You could even toast a bread for it is very, very hot.

  Moon:  I shine every night  Though, once a month, I take a break  But I'm seen regularly,  And it's not a big deal.  Few stop by  To marvel at me.  But what about the others -  Can they even see?
