A Day at The Beach

It was a bright and sunny day and Shreya's family were planning to go to Besant Nagar beach. It was a long way from their home. Shreya slept off during the travel. At last her father woke her up "Wake up sweetie! We're here!" Shreya woke up at once.

She was the one who opened the car door first. But when she stepped out a big white dog barked at her loudly. She quickly went back into the car. Shreyas's mother shooed the dog away.

Shreya happily stepped out and ran into the beach. She took out her sand set and built a big beautiful castle. She collected many shells and stuck them on the path to the castle.

She then dug a big hole near the sand castle. She then stuck an Indian flag on the castle and said "I love Indian flags, they are so beautiful." She named the castle as Shreya's Castle and then ran near the sea.

She was so excited to see and feel the waves fall on her legs. There came a big wave, Shreya got all excited. The water swelled up to her chest because of the wave. She was

surprised. She named the waves the "Super Giant Shreya wave."  "Hey wave, you are my buddy! I name you the Super Giant Shreya wave. I love you buddy!"  said Shreya in excitement.

Shreya came to the Besant Nagar beach every weekend. She also met her buddy wave and every time
she found her Sand castle perfect and standing. "What a magical thing" Shreya thought to herself and the buddy wave just gave her a  big shell.

Shreya was happy and she lived happily ever after.

Behind The Mask

Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Laughter and Smiles

Are you feeling sad,  Are you feeling low? Do you wish to fly like a bird, But can't do so? Do you wish to swim like a dolphin, But can't do it just yet? Do you wish to be free of worries, But your unbreakable bond with it is set? Are you surrounded by shadows, That smother you till you drop? Are you getting pulled into a black hole, Your worries eat you, and you can't stop? Or perhaps you're scared, Of the dark and doom surrounding you, You feel like it's closing in,   And there's nothing you can do. You're lost in a land of confusion,  Where things are tangled together, Just like your poor mind, Which is in a messy weather. But let me tell you what to do, To beat up all your worries, There's no problem that can't be undone, We'll chase it all away in a flurry. Has it been weeks, Since your lips curled into a smile? Has it been weeks,  Since you used to laugh all the while? Why, you can do it now too! Does there have to be a reason to smile? B...
