Me, just sitting at the dining table, reading a book. Me, just sitting at the dining table, eating snacks. Me, just having a happy evening. Then me, hearing a -

Alright, that's nothing, I'll just ignore it and continue reading my -

......
tuttuttuttut.
Alright, that's definitely something.
"AMMAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"
"What happened? Are you alright?"
"Ammaaaa I'm hearing a creepy noise."
"Oh, please, be quiet. I thought it was something serious."
"It IS something serious just listen to - AGH JUST WAIT!!"
"Whaaaat?!"
"I was just sitting here, calmly, reading my book, and then I heard a noise - tutttuttut. It was soooo creepy and it came from -"
Ugh. She's not paying attention, is she?
I'm pretty sure it was nothing. Let me just - continue reading my book.
tuttuttuttuttut.
"THERE IT IS AGAIN!!!"
"For HEAVEN'S sake, BE. QUIET!!!!!"
"But - but I heard -"
"I'm sitting somewhere else."
"But - AMMA!!!!"
She'll never listen. What's the point?
I hate it when she doesn't hear me out - and the worst part is, I KNOW I'm right! It's like I don't even -
tuttuttuttut.
..... see, it wasn't THAT bad (it was, but it got worse) until it became loud enough to interrupt my thoughts. I mean, have you heard how loud my thoughts are? They're -
tuttuttuttut.
Okay, seriously, what IS that -
tutttttttuutttttuuuutttt.
That's it. I'm going somewhere else too.
"AMMAA!!!"
"If I get up and come here, you don't have to follow me. Please go back to the dining table."
"Amma pleaseee listen to me I'm hearing a very creepy noise and I don't know where it's coming from -"
"I need to use the restroom."
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Anddd she left. It's just me. Just me. Alone. Inside our very empty house. At this point, I REALLY wish my sister was there. At least she'd be continuously talking to block off the weird -
tuttututt.
I want to SMACK my brain for playing every piece of scary I know right now.
tuttuttutt.
I can still hear it. Maybe if I sit still without moving, I'll be safe....
About 5 minutes later
"Shriyandhaa. Shriyandhaa?? Where are you??"
"I'm h-here..."
"Oh, god, what EVER are you doing under the blankets with no fan on when it's burning outside?"
"I thought hiding would make it safer."
"What?"
"I'm sorry, the sound was just creeping me out so much."
"Ahh, not THAT thing again. How come YOU can hear it, but I can't? Your ears pick up the softest sounds."
"Oh, please, that sound is SHAKING THE GROUND!!!"
"I'm going to go make you dinner. And I suggest you cover your ears and get back to whatever you were doing."
She won't listen. She won't.
But... Maybe I should go with her and stay with her in the kitchen - ONLY because I want to see how dinner is made.
She clears the counter, and I hear the noise again. I follow my mom closely to wherever she goes. Every step. And she keeps scowling at me but I pretty much don't care.
Then she moves towards the electric cooker. I was still hearing the noise. And when I looked at the rice cooker - it was trembling. Violently.
My mom switched it off. The trembling stopped. So did the sound.
And that day, I discovered that our electric cooker would do well in a horror movie. Or at least at scaring my wits out of me.
Hey, I should use that on my sister!! She'd get really scared. It would be fun to watch.
"Shriyandhaa, do you want me to switch on the rice cooker again?"
"What?"
"You said the last part of your thoughts out loud."
Oops.
"Oh."
Omg bro! This is so good!!! BTW, I had a very similar thing happen to me. Yesterday, I was playing my keyboard, and when I was playing it, there was a snarling sound. I creeeeeeped me out. I called my mom, and when I was playing it while she was there, there was nothing ... so , I still don't know what it is p(^-^)q
