Random Thoughts

Not all stars shine at night,

When they can shine brighter in day,

Not all holes can be patched up,

No, not if they're profound enough.

Not all crumpled paper can be smoothened

Not if the wrinkles sunk in too deep

Not all horses are docile,

Not if they're more adamant than mules.

Not all skies are blue,

If they can be pink or orange - a prettier hue,

Not all clouds block the sun,

Some clouds make silhouettes for fun.

Not everyday does the moon shine bright,

It can't spend all its time in spotlight

Not all promises are kept,

Definitely not all secrets are level and kempt,

They tend to get woven into

Nasty little rumours.

Not all rocks are the same shape

They can be flat, chipped and weird-shaped,

But all rocks have their place on earth.

Not all waterbodies are still,

There are always miniscule ripples

Not always is everything the same

In the ever changing world that cannot be paused.

  1. Different thinking about many things we come across. Random thoughts or special thoughts? Anything can be named. But to write a poem like this is excellent. many things are noticed by all. But to bring it as a poem shows you are not a mute spectator. . You are a original writer with great literary sense . Par excellence

  2. Excellent realization about the nature as usual with a wonderful message through your poetic expressions. You have deep observations, deep thoughts, deep words and through your deep dedicated message at this child hood stage make even a grown up to think and give them wisdom too

Behind The Mask

Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
