Google Doodle's Doodle Champion Island Games

One day, after school, I took my laptop outside with a surprised face. It was a cat in the Google home screen, standing on a red gate. I had no idea about what it was but I just wanted to see what it was. I switched off the audio and clicked on it. It was a cat! It was sailing on a beautiful boat. And then it landed on a city. It then found 4 buildings and from those popped out many animals. Then, a bunch of red gates appeared. 7 champions appeared! And then, I was lead to a game. I had no interests in video games. So I went back into blogging. I opened blogger. But the cat wouldn't go away from the screen! Shripu loved cats. She wanted to know what it was. Before I could open blogger, she pointed out to the cat. I was forced to play it. If Shripu plays games or watches videos, she needs volume. "Ivuluku Ida Patti enna puriya pordu?" I said to myself. The music was wonderful! But the graphics wasn't good at all. But I still had to play it. It was lunch time for Shripu, so she went off to eat. I saw the Young World newspaper on the sofa. And it said that the Olympics were starting that night! I knew what is Olympics but last time I understood nothing about it. This time, I was sure to understand and enjoy it, no matter how much Shripradhaa cries for the TV.

The next hour, when Shripu had finished eating, I was forced to explore what that cat thing was. It was really a game. I understood nothing about it. I saw a 'PLAY' button near a red gate. I clicked it, and the Table Tennis game appeared. I then quickly understood - It was from the Google Doodle! The game's name was 'Doodle Champion Island Games'. It had the name Google. And also, it was filled with 7 sports - Archery, Synchronised Swimming, Skate Boarding, Climbing, Rugby, Table Tennis and Marathon. Then, we watched YouTube videos of the game. It said that Google celebrated the beginning of Tokyo Olympics 2020 by launching a game. Google Doodle was filed with games. This Doodle Champion Island game was one of them. We watched others playing it. It was very interesting and nice. This is the first game I liked. Shripu always forces me to play it, so I do. I soon got the hang of it. Shripu and I enjoy playing it till now.

Long Lost Sleep

After a long, exhausting day, the only thing all of us look forward to is SLEEP. So, as soon as you finish off the last crumbs on your dinner plate, you fling yourself onto your bed, rest yourself in a comfortable position, get your pillow nice and fluffed up, and throw the blankets on yourself. But then... You just realised that you still have your big, wobbly earrings on. So you throw back the blankets and remove your earrings and leave them in their box. And then you're back in your bed, and just as your eyelids are about to close... You realise that you haven't brushed your teeth. So, yet again, your throw back the blankets and get off the bed, letting the annoying, creaky sound fill your head. And then you throw open the door to your bathroom, get your brush ready and squeeze toothpaste onto it, but... The tube seemed to have a hole on the back, which you sadly hadn't noticed. And you get toothpaste all over your hands. Fuming, you wash your hands and get things done...

So Close, Yet So Far

What you knew you had right beside you What you never knew might leave you What you had neglected for days What you wished was still there, within your gaze. That miniscule amount of hope  That you feel lingering close by You could open out your arms, embrace it, But suddenly it's high in the sky. Once within your grasp, But now away from you, Don't waste a moment on a wee gasp, Time won't stop, and the moving hope too. Each moment is to be caught, Each memory to be cherished, Hold them carefully in your arms, Before they shall vanish. The consistent inkling when you feel, Something close, yet so far, Is only because you know yourself, That it is within your grasp, but not within your confidence. If you're positive enough that you can hold it, The 'it' that is mysterious and something only you know, You can hold the precious 'it', Clutch it tight, don't let it go. You must be close to the end of the day, With its cliffs and slopes and Rocky slides,...

Stars

Shining in the vast night sky, I see them from afar. Dominated by the brighter moon, There glimmer the stars. Mostly hidden by the cruel shadows, Or by the thick, misty clouds. But they do not give up, they still glimmer on, They make their voice be heard loud. Even though they're hardly seen, Even though they're hardly thought of, They know that someday they will be, Thought of, honoured and loved. So take an inspiration from stars, Show your true essence, Continue to shimmer, ignore the darkness, Because one day it'll fear your presence.
