The day when S.S's wish was fulfilled

It was a sunny day, and S.S the little girl was jumping up and down.

"Why are you so excited?" S.S's mother asked.

"Today, I am going to see the meteor shower! The Delta Aquarius meteor shower!" S.S exclaimed.

"Oh! I hope it'll not be rainy or cloudy, and really, the weather man had announced yesterday, that Tamil Nadu will be having a terrible thunderstorm," Said S.S's mother, laughing. "I don't want you crying all day. I want you to be a brave girl."

S.S did pout, but she tried to be brave.

The evening had arrived, and S.S drank her milk, did homework and rushed to the terrace.

She saw gigantic clouds moving in the sky, bTut she didn't beleive that a thunderstorm was going to arrive. She enjoyed cycling. Then, it became dark. Like all the days, dad came to the terrace.

"S.S, come down, now. It's getting dark, and a thunderstorm is coming soon." Said dad, pulling S.S towards the terrace entrance.

"No, dad! A meteor shower is going to come! Could you ever believe it? Ring mom right now!" S.S said, pulling dad towards the pillar.

But now, S.S didn't believe her self! Because, she already saw lightning coming from the other side! S.S started to cry. She was really a cry baby, and for small things she would cry like anything. And now, she was talking about the meteor shower all day and now, what? It's gonna rain? She really cried loudly, that almost one country would be able to hear her cry!

Dad closed his ears as he carried S.S back to her house. S.S was so upset that she almost refused to eat, but she was compelled to. After the meal, she had a sweet sleep. Whenever S.S slept merrily, it meant that the next day will be totally happy for her.

But the next day wasn't happy, it was FANTASTIC!

S.S and her family had their meal in the cool, wet terrace, enjoying the meteor shower. S.S was all smiles, pointing at the amazing, flashing, racing meteors.

" The meteor showers! Shooting stars! I'm going to make a wish! I want....." S.S said joining her hands.

"I want a big doll house!"

S.S then gasped at the most brightest meteor, which almost hit grandma's head.

"Whoa! That was close. How could it get here?" Grandma exclaimed, rushing to the small shed present in the terrace.

But actually the meteor which almost hit grandma was not a meteor, it was something better....

It was a fairy! S.S couldn't beleive her eyes! She was a fan of fairies and princesses.

"Hello, my dearest S.S! Your most favourite thing will arrive soon!" The fairy said, waving her wand.

Everybody was not able to understand anything. Soon, it was late and S.S was fast asleep on dad's lap. Everybody returned to their house.

The next day, S.S was so surprised! But why?

The fairy had arrived and was greeted warmly with a cup of coffee, some strawberries and chocolate syrup. She then turned to S.S.

"Oh! The little girl! Good morning S.S! And here's your gift, the thing you had wished for, for the past 4 years....."

As the fairy waved her wand, a gift box appeared. S.S ran to it, and removed the wrapper, feeling so excited. Mom and dad knew that today will be a happy day for S.S.

The doll house! S.S hugged the fairy.

S.S and her family lived happily ever after! 😊😊

Behind The Mask

Behind the clouds  Is the hidden sky, so far, Behind the plasters, A nasty scar, Behind the curtains,  Are bright windows  But behind a mask - It is not for show. Not until you tumble into the trap,  Stay trapped there, in disguised gloom  Without realising it - And then go deeper and deeper  To discover what really looms. Then realisation strikes - How they behaved, how they feigned The hidden meaning behind every wave  You've found it. And the rage, You try to stifle it with much courage, But instead, burn down the page, And whoops - that leads you to your cage. But in the end, the mask is gone - To reveal an atrocity, so from it begone Don't explain, on its own will it dawn - Upon others, just the way it did on you - Ignore their every scorn. Just wait for their mask to be openly torn.

Clouded

Every night, I bring myself  To stare up at the sky -  But turn back home, with a frown on my face, Clouds blocking stars, showing wry.  Every morning, I peek out the window  To marvel at the sea above - But turn away, losing hope,  Cotton figures, masking what I love.  Every time I see the clouds,  I curse them, with all might,  They don't deserve to be up there,  Ruining the bright days and starry nights.  And one day, the clouds finally went away,  And I stargazed in much peace.  But suddenly, the sky felt a bit empty -  Although dotted by the stars, without fake fleece. In the mornings, the sun burnt the pavements -  And something inside me missed watching  The white shapes that merrily float past -  I didn't realise they had much meaning.  Though much couldn't be seen, they brought A wholesome feeling - that you probably can't see -  You only can, when one day,  The clouds decide t...

Eclipsed

Moon:  I shine every night  Though, once a month, I take a break  But I'm seen regularly,  And it's not a big deal.  Few stop by  To marvel at me.  But what about the others -  Can they even see? And tonight is the night  A shadow shall be cast upon me  I hope no one notices -  My brief moments without glory.  Oh, but who am I kidding?  Of course, when I'm humiliated  In the vast night sky  Just me, and an eery shadow upon me  That  That is when the humans  Choose to gaze at me.  And then, to say I am weak And I'm always overruled by  The sun, and shadows, and clouds?  That is not fair.  But the truth that the moon does not know  Is that our little downfalls  Are what define us.  They're the little things that make us  Better - Perfection isn't a thing; but realism is.  Someone who is perfect cannot be likeable - But someone with flaws has more pe...
